Cattle Identification - Electronic ID's
     At the January Commission of Agriculture meeting, the commission approved the utilization of electronic identification as the official identification for cattle in Michigan with the impementation deadline of March 1, 2007. Mandatory ID will aide in the control and spread of various diseases and/or viruses and allow for more effective trackung of cattle movent and change of ownership.
